i took mr. milo's 3 year old pictures yesterday.

i decided to include matchbox cars in the photo sesh.  he is slightly OCD about those cars.

he lines them up every night, before he falls asleep.

he won't let anybody touch them either.

like i said, OCD.

so enjoy the pics...and yes, there are a lot.

but, who doesn't want to look at a cute 1/4th asian kid, who has dirty feet, a chipped tooth and a mohawk?

milo enjoyed being king for the day, yesterday.

we got donuts.

we saw a movie.

we took a nap.

big day in the anderson house.

and no...he's not sunburn.  he was holding a sword up to the camera, and i caught the tip of it in the camera.

once full, we get to go to chuck e. cheese.

i.can't.wait.

i loathe chuck e. cheese, but the kids love it.

i can't imagine why.

so, anytime they make a good decision i throw an m&m in the jar.

anytime they make a bad decision, i take an m&m out and eat it.

it's fun to be the mom and make all the rules.

we played outside for 15 minutes and then they were all about to pass out, so we brought the party back inside.

then we were still bored.

i had to eat a whole thing of hummus, in order to get a swimming pool going there.

it really is cool, and i'm not a harry potter fan.

there actually is a ride up in that thing.

we rode it (my sis and i)...and it broke while we were on it.

fun times.

milo at the age of 3 LOVES:

to eat carbs.

to wear my high heels.

to stick his tongue out in every picture.

to pick his nose.

to wear ugly sneakers every day, with tube socks.

to sing "pumping up the party" by miley cyrus on an hourly basis.

to sneak candy in his room and eat it while i'm not looking.

loves to mow the grass and weed eat, with daddy.

loves to snuggle.

gosh.

this kid makes my life full.

and i love him for that.

PTL (that's "praise the lord" for all you non-acronym people---which is usually me, i'm just cool and know that one).

okay, what was i saying?

oh yes, PTL that i like to take pictures.

i mean, if i ever hear my ragamuffins say "we don't have pictures of that" then i might spank them.

maybe i didn't get a picture of "that" but i got a picture of the other 900 million things you did that day, mkay?

i digress.  again.

so, lots of pictures = lots of reminiscing.

and i've been in a reminiscing kind of mood lately.

here's where we were 1 year ago.

anderson, party of 5 1/2.

the 3 amigos. 

i can see why we called milo "fat boy" back then.

and here is my large and in charge belly.

my favorite picture was milo's bday cake.

milo turns 3 on tuesday (yes, he stole my birthday month from me...dangit).

last year he was obsessed with lawnmowers...and i've made this wacky promise that i will always make cool birthday cakes (i kick myself in the shins every time a birthday rolls around).

this was the only thing i could think of, in terms of a lawnmower.

and he loved it.

actually, did you see his fat boy picture up there?

the kid would love anything if you put a little frosting on it.

this year he wants a fire truck cake with a power ranger on it.

what?  he doesn't even know what a power ranger is.

we'll see what the chef can do.

warning. cuteness overload.

is it true that our little boobie lover is about to be 9 months old?

yup, tomorrow is the big day.

i feel like just yesterday i was naturally birthing that boy (ouch).

and now...9 months old.

on the verge of walking (he could quite possibly be the worlds smallest human to walk).

i must admit...all of our other babies were quite content with being fat and lazy until they were well past a year old--so when people told me their 9 month olds were walking, i pretty much rolled my eyes and thought to myself "yah right, lame-o's".

well, apparently, that really does happen.

oh, and remember those beautiful, big blue eyes this babe once had?

well, no more.

he too got the asian gene as well.

i'm in love with this kid.

i particularly love his monkey ears that stick way out.

i could eat him.

i've gotten quite a bit of emails/comments lately, mostly pertaining to the same things, so rather than answer individually, i thought i'd post a bliggity blog.

what camera do you use?  and do you edit your photos?

yes. and yes.

i use a canon 40D

lens: canon 50mm f1.8

lens: canon 24-70mm f2.8L

editing:

adobe lightroom and photoshop.

i honestly don't do a ton of editing...a like to boost contrast and exposure on all my photos.  and of course, i love to change photos to black/white.  some photos i will run a photoshop action, but that's pretty rare.

i use www.coffeeteaphotography.blogspot.com for all my fun photoshop actions.

what is that font that you've used on your photos recently?

all my fonts i use are from kevin and amanda's site

they have any type of font you could possibly want...i think most of them are free.

where did you find your blog background?

have you been on blogger lately? 

they have this new designer template section. 

click on it and you can create a fabulously, beautiful blog.  backgrounds/colors/layouts/etc.

the only downfall to this is that you and all your internet friends could quite possibly have the same blog backgrounds.

oh well.

holla...it's thursday.

i love this picture my sister captured of me and my boys.

it's my life.

one boy taking an airplane ride.

really. 

 i know the words mustache and fun don't belong in the same sentence, but whatev.

the kids each had a quarter to put in a prize machine at dinner the other night.

they won fake mustaches (which really i want to spell mustache, like moustache--with a french enunciation). 

i digress.

that .75 cents was the best money we've spent in a while.

we had hours of fun with those little stick on 'staches.

'stache smooch.

sick.

my sister is here (woo-hoo!) and had to join in on the fun.

again i say...sick.

hadley sort of resembles charlie chapman in this picture.

and she's giving the stink eye.

but, she is still cute, even with the 'stache.

as i've saved THE BEST for last.

milo will no longer be called "crazy uncle milo" but rather "molester milo".

i mean...seriously.

could that be any more perfect?

this could quite possibly be a mugshot.

it will (at the very least) be used for blackmail in the future---or possibly put in his senior year slide show.

let's hope he got the asian genes and can't grow facial hair.
