emily did something crafty. holla.

my kids awoke on valentines day to their own individual mailboxes (with love mail in them, of course):

i've seen this mailbox idea floating around the intranet, and thought it was so cute.
and y'all know my love for cake plates (this is the exact same thing, only you glue a mailbox on top!)
i had to make some for the littles.

i found the mailboxes from target (in the dollar section).
and the candlesticks (that i spray painted black) were from goodwill.
this project (for all 5 of my kids combined) cost about $10.00.

aren't they adorable?
we will be leaving them out, so people can put mail in them.
we used to have a family mail center in our kitchen, but kohen ate like 3 of our envelopes after pulling them down.
dangit kohen.
but these are much cuter anyways.  :)

i saw these in the one spot and wanted to buy all of them. they remind me of snoopy.

very cute!

First all I have to say I am sorry I spelled Kohen's name with a "C" yesterday. Second those are stinkin cute. It would be fun to write little notes and stick them in the mailbox so they can check it everyday. Our daughter loves to check the real mail so I am gonna have to check out target today. I bet they are on sale now!!

Totally saw these mailboxes at Target! I will have to check today if they still have it. What a great idea to have in general. I may make one for the hubby as well for all his mail so it doesn't clutter our kitchen counter. I just wish our goodwill was as cheap as yours. Candlesticks are $3/each!

My favorite part of this post? Where you wrote "for all 5 of my kids combined." My heart skipped a beat. I can't wait to hear when you get to bring Elsa home and to see the family pictures of you all together.

I am SO stealing this idea. I love it and I know my daughter will LOVE getting "love mail."

i LOVE these! clever crafty Emily :)
we have 'envelope' pillow/cushions on our kids' beds that we pop notes into at night and they wake to discover them in the morning. they love it!
a family mail centre sounds much cooler though, then they can write notes to each other too. likey-like. :)

Love it! I bought the same little mailboxes at Target in their dollar bin a couple days ago to do the same thing. I have one question, what kind of glue did you use? Seems every kind I get does not withstand much. I am giving these to kids as well and I don't want the mailboxes popping off the first time they open them. thanks!

I adore this! I think it would look darling on our mantle......off to Target!
