somebody has been spending a lot of time on the naughty chair lately:
i know what my dad is thinking right now, "no way...none of your kids are naughty!"
i know it's hard to believe but kohen is coming up fast as being the naughtiest.
he loves to throw a fake cry in here and there.
just to make the moment more dramatic.
and then he flashes his puppy dog eyes at me.
then when i start talking to him, about how he needs to say sorry, he looks away.
then he gets a little teary.
and hugs me (his way of saying sorry).
then all is right in the home for 2.5 minutes till we start this process all over.
naughty i tell ya, naughty.
toilet paper? yes, it's completely unrolled.
legos missing? yes, because kohen wanted to taste them.
pages torn out of books? well he was only trying to read them.
sitting on the kitchen table? he just wanted to show off his mad climbing skillz.
marker on the wall? he's an artist at an early age.
if i had energy to begin with, it would be all gone.

awww...how can you ever be upset at such a cute face :)
ReplyDelete.........but he's still adorable!

ReplyDeleteMy older child is the naughty one. The naughty chair isn't working so well anymore because my sweet younger child insists on sitting it out with her.
ReplyDeleteI know this feeling all too well. My son is becomming into the dramatic stage as well and let's just say it's rough. but isn't it amazing how things can be over just as soon as you get that hug!
ReplyDeletethis was great to read. the pictures tell the whole story! so funny!!
ReplyDeleteenergy. its so overrated....right?!
ReplyDeletestory of my life.

ReplyDeletei just imagined lila and kohen flirting and it almost made me cry. pregnancy hormones...gotta love em'. i love those pictures. what a sweet bun-hole that chicken is. that sounds so gross but it made me laugh so i'm keeping it in there.
ReplyDeleteum....i think you posted about my little boy too...hahahaha :)
ReplyDeleteI get that look too, the one when you are yelling at them and tell them to say sorry...big boo boo lip and some teary eyes. I too get a hug for an apology & I think it is very precious.
ReplyDeleteoh yes... kohen and mercy are quite a pair:)
ReplyDeleteHis eyes slay me! I don't know how you find the naughty chair with those eyes staring back at you!
ReplyDeleteYea, his eyes would undo me too! LOL
ReplyDeleteAwww but he's so cute! I tell my boys that they are lucky they are cute. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so right there with you. Although all my children seem to be a little extra dramatic lately. My energy went the way of the buffalo. lol The naughty chair gives me an idea though. I greatly appreciate whatever you post. Even on days when the actually thing may not totally apply to me it helps to spark ideas. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteLOL Sorry but this totally made me laugh. Little mister mischievious!
ReplyDeleteHe may be naughty, but he's so CUTE!!
ReplyDeleteHahaha. We have one just like that, I think they are about the same age. So cute. And so time consuming. He looks adorable with that pout though. I bet it's hard to be firm when he looks at you like that :-D
ReplyDeletedefinitely the cutest naughty kid i've ever seen :)
ReplyDeleteOh I'm right there with you! So far we've had paint on the carpet, poop on the carpet and marker on the slipcovered chair. It's hard to keep up but I still love it!
ReplyDeleteOMG...you just described my second child, Jaden. If they weren't so cute, would disciplining them be any easier?
ReplyDeletebless it! he looks so sweet when hes in trouble. :) my little one is become a trouble maker himself.
ReplyDeletei relate to this so much. my 2 yr old is really good at finding things to write on the wall with.

ReplyDeletemy favorite is your comment about your dad not being surprised.
ReplyDeletei'm constantly picturing my mom as a fly on my wall, laughing her butt off as i'm trying to discipline my daughter for doing the same stuff that gave her hell.
