the naughty chair.

somebody has been spending a lot of time on the naughty chair lately:
i know what my dad is thinking right now, "no way...none of your kids are naughty!"
i know it's hard to believe but kohen is coming up fast as being the naughtiest.
he loves to throw a fake cry in here and there.
just to make the moment more dramatic.
and then he flashes his puppy dog eyes at me.
then when i start talking to him, about how he needs to say sorry, he looks away.
then he gets a little teary.
and hugs me (his way of saying sorry).
then all is right in the home for 2.5 minutes till we start this process all over.
naughty i tell ya, naughty.

toilet paper?  yes, it's completely unrolled.
legos missing?  yes, because kohen wanted to taste them.
pages torn out of books?  well he was only trying to read them.
sitting on the kitchen table?  he just wanted to show off his mad climbing skillz.
marker on the wall?  he's an artist at an early age.

if i had energy to begin with, it would be all gone.

  4. My older child is the naughty one. The naughty chair isn't working so well anymore because my sweet younger child insists on sitting it out with her.

  5. I know this feeling all too well. My son is becomming into the dramatic stage as well and let's just say it's rough. but isn't it amazing how things can be over just as soon as you get that hug!

I greatly appreciate whatever you post. Even on days when the actually thing may not totally apply to me it helps to spark ideas. Thanks :)

i'm constantly picturing my mom as a fly on my wall, laughing her butt off as i'm trying to discipline my daughter for doing the same stuff that gave her hell.
