some days, life gets to be overwhelming.
caring for kiddos.
helping at school.
grocery shopping.
making dinners for children who hardly enjoy what i cook.
answering emails.
wiping booties. (lots of them, lots of times during the day)
sweeping the kitchen floor 18 times a day.
being a chauffeur.
writing blog posts.
dealing with adoption paperwork.
basketball practice and games.
piano practice.
finding a pile of poop on the floor from my baby, who was walking around without a diaper on, and decided to poop.
you know, the usual overwhelming stuff.
because life is feeling slightly overwhelming, i've decided to take a mini vacay from this blog.
don't worry, i'm not leaving for too long!
i will be back on wednesday.
just need a few days to chill.
oh, and want to know the biggest reason why i won't be blogging?
because we have to prepare for elsa.
she'll be home next week.
{yes, you totally read that right. and i'm sorry, but i'm going to leave you hanging without details for now! let's just say, God moved some mountains.}
see ya wednesday!

when I opened this, I had this little glimmer of knowledge that there was good news about Elsa... but then I started to read it... and was all :-( because it was just STRESS... and THEN... I started to tear up :'-) because... your STRESSED for the BEST REASON IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!! I'm so happy for you and your WHOLE family (and by whole, I mean that you will soon be whole!) - I promise, it's love leaking out my eyes :'-)
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Such an exciting time for yall....congratulations. One little tidbit that I thought I'd throw at you...be sure to ask what some of Elsa's routines are (how she gets comforted when she's upset, the bedtime process, etc). I didn't think to ask these things when we got our son...and for months after I wished that I'd asked. Anyway..that one's for free. And you're smarter than I am, so you probably already have a list of questions to ask when you pick her up. Seriously, congrats..enjoy your weekend of getting ready for your newest baby girl...it's a priceless time! You are in my thoughts and prayers...Marissa
ReplyDeleteI gasped outloud when I read that...I am so excited for you!! You finally will have all your babies at home! Praying for safe travels and smooth transitions. xoxoxo
