3.18.2011

you want to read this post. i promise.

some days, life gets to be overwhelming.
caring for kiddos.
helping at school.
grocery shopping.
making dinners for children who hardly enjoy what i cook.
answering emails.
wiping booties. (lots of them, lots of times during the day)
sweeping the kitchen floor 18 times a day.
being a chauffeur.
writing blog posts.
dealing with adoption paperwork.
basketball practice and games.
piano practice.
finding a pile of poop on the floor from my baby, who was walking around without a diaper on, and decided to poop.
you know, the usual overwhelming stuff.

because life is feeling slightly overwhelming, i've decided to take a mini vacay from this blog.
don't worry, i'm not leaving for too long!
i will be back on wednesday.
just need a few days to chill.

oh, and want to know the biggest reason why i won't be blogging?
because we have to prepare for elsa.
she'll be home next week.

{yes, you totally read that right.  and i'm sorry, but i'm going to leave you hanging without details for now!  let's just say, God moved some mountains.}

see ya wednesday!

  153. when I opened this, I had this little glimmer of knowledge that there was good news about Elsa... but then I started to read it... and was all :-( because it was just STRESS... and THEN... I started to tear up :'-) because... your STRESSED for the BEST REASON IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!! I'm so happy for you and your WHOLE family (and by whole, I mean that you will soon be whole!) - I promise, it's love leaking out my eyes :'-)

    ReplyDelete
  154. Woohoo! Such an exciting time for yall....congratulations. One little tidbit that I thought I'd throw at you...be sure to ask what some of Elsa's routines are (how she gets comforted when she's upset, the bedtime process, etc). I didn't think to ask these things when we got our son...and for months after I wished that I'd asked. Anyway..that one's for free. And you're smarter than I am, so you probably already have a list of questions to ask when you pick her up. Seriously, congrats..enjoy your weekend of getting ready for your newest baby girl...it's a priceless time! You are in my thoughts and prayers...Marissa

i don't care that i may sound stalkerish. i am bawling and laughing right now. i am so in love with this amazing God that is carrying you straight to your baby girl's arms. the craziest part is that this song, "falling slowly" has been playing in my head for weeks for no reason at all......until right now. i swear it is the Holy Spirit saying. "see sarah, i make the good stuff happen...see?" thanks for your blog, thanks for sharing your life. now go get your girl!!!!!
