we took the family to the beach last weekend.
(we live only about 30 miles from the beach, but we hardly go as it's not the easiest of tasks).
elsa was pretty much in awe of the ocean.
hadley's hair is getting so long!
best picture of the day...
the day was exhausting...we drove home with sand all over every inch of our body...tired kids and parents all around...we stopped and got a pizza then had a movie night when we returned home, and all was back right with the world.
but bedtime was certainly sweet relief that night.

love love love the shadow picture of your baby bump!! beautiful family:))
ReplyDeleteYour children are so cute. They look like they could not be happier to be at the beach.
ReplyDeletei feel the same way about the beach. i still cannot manage my 3 little ones solo to the beach in the summer. we head to the beach a ton when its fall and we are wearing jeans and jackets and we are the only ones on the beach. there is nothing like sitting on the beach with a cool breeze and the warm sun hitting your back:)
ReplyDeletealways love your photos!
looks like so much fun! Love the picture of Elsie looking at the ocean. so sweet!
ReplyDeletefun! they are seriously all so dang cute, emily. gorgeous children: all of them!
ReplyDeleteisn't funny how we take for granted living so close. but like you sadi last hing you think of for fun is packing 5 kids and a days worth of stuff to go spend the day in the sun and sand...glad you guys had fun!

Hey! Great to see the pics! We live in New Smyrna Beach (the best, family beach in central Florida)... You should try it sometime. But I so understand your hesitancy to go. I have five liitle ones and until last summer when my youngest was three and we were done with diapers we never went to the beach...it was just way too much work. But now that my kids are getting older (4,6,8,10,14), we go every week. I love it now...everyone helps and it's not too much work for me. Be blessed!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful day! Packing up four kids & all the things they need-even for a day trip- is definitively work! There are days we stay home just for the one reason here. haha
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the last 2 pics!
elsa cracks me up with the posing. she must have learned from dearest hadley.
ReplyDeleteLove the 1st and last photos. Em, Elsa is a little beauty! It is so heartwarming to see her little face aglow in these pics. Simply adorable!
ReplyDeletewhat a day! How blessed your children are.
ReplyDeletexo em
great beach pictures! and guess what, I read that baby powder removes sand from your skin........amazing information, right? you can bust that out when you go to the beach again... which may be a few years from now! haha
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I was going to ask if Elsa had ever been to the beach before I scrolled all the way down. :) I DO love those exhausting days cause everyone sleep SO well. :) Can I come visit your beach, pretty please??
ReplyDeleteha, check out Elsa's rockin pose!! :)
ReplyDeletewe are so blessed, we only live 25 mins from the beach...but then, NZ is an island country so pretty much everyone lives reasonably close to the beach! :)
