hadley's been working on a "god made me special" school project---this involved all sort of info about our family and such.
one thing she had to do was answer a few questions about me and draw a picture of me.
not sure if you can read it, but she said that i like to sleep.
i mean, embarrassing? yes.
true? very.
{i also love how i'm giving a high five in the picture---"yeah sleep!"}
it's funny that out of all the things i like to do, sleep was the one thing she put down.
clearly i've been sleeping a lot lately.
at least the girl is honest :)
and cute.
and as i think about it, i'm pretty sure that for last year, at pre-school, she had to do something similar and wrote something to the tune of "mommy's favorite thing to do is sleep."
one day, when she has kids of her own, she'll understand how much fun it is to sleep.

love it...she is sweet!! :)
ReplyDeleteSo funny! I love it when kids have to fill these things out- they always pick out the funniest things to write about. One of my students once told me her mom's favorite thing to buy was glitter.
ReplyDeleteout of the mouths of babes! you're so right--once your kids are older they will totally get why you love to sleep! my kids always tell me i'm old because i like to take naps and go to bed early. but what they don't get is what a tought job it is taking care of them! :) but well worth it!
ReplyDeleteYou should save this and give it to her when she's older.
ReplyDeleteBTW, Hadley is a beautiful girl. Your family is lovely.
that is too cute! :)
ReplyDeletelol I soooo love to read your blog- gives me a smile! tfs
ReplyDeleteThat cracks me up! Great little chuckle first thing in the morning!
ReplyDeleteSleep is a good thing, hah. Esp. with your life. I am sure that the teacher laughed about that one. She probably thought, how do you get any sleep. Your daughter is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie patootie!
ReplyDeleteHa! Love this. Atleast she didn't overshoot your age. Amen?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE her honesty. SO SO Cute!
ReplyDeleteAt least you look skinny! Can't tell you are prego in this drawing! ;)
ReplyDeleteHa! I love the honesty of kids! And you get that sleep girl! You're growing a baby and a friend once told me that growing a baby was equilivent to climbing a mountain every single day. Amen.
ReplyDeleteAt least she didn't say something like 'go potty'....it could have totally been worse.
ReplyDeleteToo funny. When Kyle was her age he wrote on a similar project that my favorite drink was water and my favorite food was toast. What can I say? I'm a simple woman.
ReplyDeletei feel your "pain". when my son had an assignment such as this (and i was also pregnant) his description of me was "my mom likes to make mac and cheese. she likes to talk on the phone. she likes to sleep a lot in the daytime." i love how you use every opportunity to delight in your kids!
ReplyDeleteHahahah that is funny and not embarrassing! It could be soooo much worse! She's adorable :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Long time reader, first time commenter. I had to comment because my husband did kinda the same thing when he was little. He had an assignment in kindergarten or 1st grade where he had to draw a picture of his family and tell what they like to do. He said his mom & dad like to sleep together. Hahahaha. And they hung them all up and when his parents walked in for parent-teacher conference everyone turned and stared at them.
ReplyDeletehaha! that really made me chuckle! so funny!
ReplyDeleteand srsly, sleeping rocks!
xoxo
This made me giggle. lol love it.
ReplyDeleteI laughed out loud!!! I am a big fan of sleep, especially when pregnant and I am sure when my kids are able to speak in full sentences they will say the same thing!! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of my brother and his interpretation of my mom when he was 6yrs old....her picture was drawn to resemble a witch!! He was referring to her looks when she woke up in the morning! my sweet mom took it like a champ!
She sure is adorable! At least she said sleep and not anything MORE embarrassing! LOL... love it!
ReplyDeletethis is hilarious! so true of these funny kids! my daughter told our pediatrician how much her baby sister LOVES mac-n-cheese and how I feed it to her all the time. what?!?! like, once?!? so funny what sticks with them!
ReplyDeletemy kid likes to tell people i scare him. i screamed when he almost put his hand on the hot stove and he cried because it scared him. it was a safety scream, but he seems to only remember that i am scary.
ReplyDeletei think i'd rather be sleeping! :)
That is too funny! This picture of Hadley is beyond adorable. I love her big brown eyes.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I love sleeping-- that's what busy mom's crave. :D I love the not-untrue things kids say!
